FOR POSTERS
19th International Conference on Genome Informatics (GIW-2008),
Gold Coast Australia, 1-3 December 2008
POSTERS are solicited for the 19th International Conference
on Genome Informatics (GIW-2008), to be held at the Marriott
Surfers Paradise Resort & Spa, Gold Coast, Australia from
1-3 December 2008. For more details go to http://www.mlaa.com.au/giw2008
We welcome posters in all areas related to a computational understanding
of biological systems at the molecular level, including theoretical
and practical research, software and databases, particularly
at a genome-wide scale or with a systems orientation. Posters
presenting relevant research institutions, facilities, centres
and programs are likewise welcome.
SUBMISSIONS
An abstract must be submitted for each poster. Poster abstracts
are limited to 2 pages including title, text, figures, tables
and bibliography. Please see below for Abstract templates, which
follow the same style as for full papers but are limited to
2 pages each in length. All abstracts must be submitted via
the site

Poster abstracts will be reviewed. Accepted poster abstracts
will be compiled into a poster book and distributed as part
of the registration package. Additionally, a number of notable
abstracts may be selected for short oral presentation at the
conference.

POSTER TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Posters may be either printed (presented on a poster board)
or electronic (presented wholly or in part on a laptop or monitor).
Printed posters should be no larger than 120 x 85 cm (A0 size).
We encourage posters to be presented in portrait orientation
(i.e. maximum 120 cm high and 85 cm wide) but those in landscape
orientation (i.e. maximum 85 cm high and 120 cm wide) will also
be accommodated. For larger sizes or special requirements, please
contact Mark Ragan (contact information below).
The conference venue supports a limited number of electronic
posters. Electricity is 240V. Tables and extension cords will
be provided; any other equipment is provided by prior arrangement
only. Electronic posters will be presented in the same poster
sessions and rooms as all other posters.
